(And, if your attention is on poverty, you'll attract more of that.) This isn't just "The Secret," but something even older: <em>As above, so below. </em> Your thoughts ("above") affect your mundane ("below") life. If you're looking for more <em>money,</em> that's just one kind of wealth. The only reason it wouldn't work is because of a shred of doubt, ego which gets in the way. In magic and spirituality you can attain literally anything for any reason so long as your intent be solid, without doubt and with pure knowing. In such a state, one can walk on water, resurrect the dead or even resurrect them self. They can turn water to wine, levitate objects or them self, or become the richest person on the planet. It matters not whether it is for personal gain or not, just that you believe it. I wanted it to snow one night, so badly. The newscasters said no chance of snow, I meditated, I focused on my desire, I became without doubt and all that existed in that moment was pure, unwavering "knowing" that it would snow that night, and into the morning. And it did. just in my area of the city too. There is no such thing as "can't" unless you limit your self with your own subconscious thoughts. All the universe is energy, it is unbias, thought and intention is energy as well and so it can manipulate reality. It does not matter if you intend personal gain or not, energy flows where focus goes. but if you prefer to limit your self by believing in limits, by all means :) Peace, Light, Love and Harmony!
